Trojan Warrior, the eagerly anticipated new action film from Triple 3 Films, is set to be released Australia wide on August 8th, with international release to follow.
Stan's role as the main lead has caused much interest in the Australian film community, as he heads a talented cast that will be well complemented by cameo appearances by some popular and well known Australian celebrities from the TV and sporting worlds. The likes of football stars Dermot Brereton and Doug Hawkins, current affairs TV host Naomi Robson, infamous author Mark "Chopper" Read as well as Mark Jackson and Wilbur Wilde will all make appearances in the film. Trojan Warrior is predominantly a fast paced action film, filled with humorous overtones and a tongue in cheek vibe, as well as elements of suspense. The pacing and tone of the film has been likened to that of the cult classic "Lock, Stock and Two Smoking Barrels".

The film, a gangster movie, sees Stan as "Ajax", a former cop who has the burden of trying to locate and protect an irresponsible and wild cousin, "Theo", from the local mob, for whom Theo once worked. With the FBI needing and forcing Theo as a witness to testify against his old employers, and with the mob wanting Theo out of the picture before the court date, the backdrop is set for a series of humorous mishaps and wild scenes, as Theo is on the loose with Stan's character attempting to find and keep his cousin from harm amidst a race between the law and the mob, yet Stan is intertwined deeper between both factions than is immediately apparent to the audience, causing him to face up to his rocky past and setting the stage for a surprising twist. The film is sure to entertain with it's over the top characters, and has an ethnic flavour, which Australia's diverse population will be sure to relate to.

Trojan Warrior will premiere on August 8th at selected Village and Hoyts cinemas. Click here to go to the Trojan Warrior home page.
